Chili Lime Protes Crusted Chicken Breasts

Craving KFC or Popeye's chicken? Well the Believe Fit recipe team has come up with a low carb, low fat version of "breaded" chicken with a hint of Chili Lime using the Protes - protein chips as the breading! 

With 7gC 4gF 15gP per bag - PROTES provide the right amount of crunch with a hint of flavour to the same old boring chicken. 


  • 2 whole eggs
  • 900g Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts (you can use any part of the chicken I just prefer the breast.
  • 2 bags of Protes Chili Lime
  • Coconut Oil


Preheat oven to 350. 

Coat your baking sheet with coconut oil (or any oil that you prefer)

Crush up the bags of PROTES until chips are small enough to stay stuck to your chicken.

Add Chili Powder, Onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper to the crushed up chips.

Whisk up both eggs into a bowl. 

Dip chicken breast into eggs then into the dry PROTES mix until chicken is completely covered. Then place chicken onto coated baking sheet

Place into oven for 12-15 minutes. Then turn chicken over and place in oven again for 10 more minutes. 

Squeeze lime juice onto chicken as soon as they are pulled out of the oven. Let sit for 5 minutes. 

Serve with favourite sides.
